The Lagos Chamber of Commerce and Industry held its 2023 mid-year review and outlook on Wednesday 16th August 2023. This event was designed as a hybrid with participants in Commerce House and online connected on Zoom.
The event was moderated by the Director of research and advocacy, LCCI, Mr Tony Monye, and declared open with the LCCI President’s speech as delivered by the Deputy President of LCCI, Mr Gabriel Idahosa, FCA.
The event featured an overview of the recent economic actions and policies of the country as Nigeria is in a critical transition period. This was summarized in the presentation of the Guest Speaker, Dr, Ayo Teriba.
The policies of the new government were further analyzed by a four-man panel including three speakers from their hybrid locations. Questions were solicited and answered from both physical and online participants, and strong recommendations were made to the government to strengthen their policies and ensure the growth of the nation’s economy. This include having holistic diagnosis of past and current situation before rolling our economic policies.
